Ineffable You

There is something inside you so beautiful and ferocious it cannot be fully known or expressed in words. It is your job to protect and preserve it, and to let it loose on the world when the time is right. Not everyone will honor it the way you want them to, but even if they don’t, it doesn’t lose any of its power or vitality. You will always be able to locate it and get back in touch with it in its primordial state.

The ineffable you is eternal. Not everyone remembers that all the time. (They may not remember it about themselves either.) And so they may not take the time to really listen to what you have to say and get to know who you are. That’s a shame because you have a lot inside you worth knowing. Do not be deterred. Those things remain beautiful and powerful even if they never make it outside the bounds of your skin. You can just hold them inside you, and they will provide light and warmth you need. You are here and you are creating and no one can take that from you.  The universe is also ever-creating itself inside you, waiting to expand outwardly, but never in a hurry to get beyond itself.

When you are in need of healing, you should trust yourself. Healing doesn’t happen because of what someone else decides is appropriate or “healthy”. Healing happens because you have filtered through all the things that don’t work for you and found your way to the thing that fits just right and suddenly reminds you you are alive and viable. Your nervous system was built to lead you to exactly what you need. That is why it is so finely tuned – to take note of the minutest shift in its environment. What you need is something very specific and you should not stop until you find it.

This is the way you protect and preserve the fire inside that may eventually provide light and heat for those around you when expressed. It will become useful very soon. Just when you are not sure your life has purpose, you will be called upon to act in a self-sacrificial way and all that time you spent cultivating the beauty inside will be on display, like a bird unfurling its feathers, the very thing it was born to do.
